We had an absolutely delightful stay at Thon Rosenkrantz! From the warm welcome from Renate at reception to the amazing breakfast buffet, everything was perfect. The staff truly seem to enjoy their jobs and think nothing of going the extra mile. Our room was spotless, modern, and remarkably quiet despite being in the city center. The complimentary evening meal was substantial — we wouldn’t describe it as ‘light’ at all! It helped our budget enormously. The breakfast was comprehensive and totally delicious. Superior room was spacious and in impeccable condition with comfortable beds. The bathrobes and good toiletries were nice touches. But the real star is the breakfast buffet — very high standard with fish, fresh fruit, homemade vegetables, egg dishes, pancakes, hot specialties, smoothies and cappuccino. Chef Michel makes incredible homemade specialties like Bergen fish pudding and smoked lamb. The hotel is quiet even though it’s in the nightlife district. Just a street behind Bryggen, perfect location for everything. Excellent value for money.

Great location within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The room was comfortable with an incredibly comfortable bed and the heated bathroom floors were a lovely surprise! Breakfast was exceptional with so many options — everyone in our group agreed it was the best hotel breakfast we’d had on our trip. Staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary coffee and fresh fruit available all day in the lobby was a nice touch. Only minor issue was our room was quite small, but honestly we were out exploring most of the time anyway. Would definitely stay here again!
